Ontario Women's Hunting Association

Empower, EDUCATE & Inspire

Our Mission

Our goal is simple: To empower, EDUCATE and inspire women of all ages find their place in the hunting community.

Since we opened our doors in 2011, O.W.H.A has been helping women fulfill their potential when it comes to hunting. We do this through personalized instruction, working hand-in-hand on the field and answering questions with experience and thought.

Giving women a place and community to meet others and join likewise events to further educate themselves on firearms, archery, and hunting. Can you imagine being able to get out in the field and experience hunting as a beginner on a whole new level. Resources, experienced hunters, and much more will be available to you, in your area, as a diverse group of women come together to make a strong team to empower, educate and inspire others.  We would like to extend the invitation to ALL female hunters to join Ontario Women's Hunting Association. Our goal for O.W.H.A is to be a safe, fun place for women to connect and share their ideas, thoughts, and tips about everything to do with HUNTING!

Our facebook page is a great place to chat, share photos and adventures, network, and to learn new skills with fellow women of the Ontario hunting community.

Range Day Outreach Program

Supporting people in pursuit of their hunting heritage, Amanda Lynn founded the Range Day and Take Me Hunting Outreach Program, designed to help new hunters get out there and get started in their adventures.

Participation in activities outdoors provides you with the opportunity to expand your horizons and learn valuable life lessons that will serve them well beyond their chapter in life.  We want you to be able to have fun and enjoy the outdoors with your peers, but at the same time lay a solid foundation of skills and knowledge which you may build on for the rest of your life.  The ultimate goal for this program is to provide an opportunity for YOU to get outdoors, learn about your heritage and carry it forward.

We want to help you to succeed. We believe the morals and values you will develop from participating in the outdoors will carry forth throughout all other aspects of your life, while keeping our hunting heritage alive.

Range Day allows you to try your hand at Pistol, Shotgun, Rifle and Archery, no license required.

Women of the Outdoors - RANGE DAY is a program that was designed by Amanda Lynn in 2011 after noticing the changes in an increase of women wanting to get out and get started and not having a mentor or place to be able to try firearms. This event  has a limit of 24 - 30 girls so that one-on-one mentoring is more personalized.

These events fill up quickly so keep your eye on a certain future date if you want to participate. The event is a first come, first serve basis and has a history of selling out in 24 hours. No licensing is needed.

Amanda Lynn has been incredibly fortunate in her life to have been brought up in the hunting and outdoors industry and lucky to be able to have the opportunity to inspire others.

"We’re all looking to make a difference in our world and I believe that by focusing on this community, we’re going to make the most substantial impact and keep our heritage alive".

Founded in 2011, Amanda Lynn brings specialized experience and the love for coaching and mentoring
